Due to overwhelming demand, a comedy powerhouse has locked in not one, but two performances for the Darwin Comedy Festival in March.
In December, event organisers announced a star-studded line-up had been assembled to grace the stage, including Aussie funny men Nazeem Hussain and Sammy J.
However, one particular star’s highly anticipated arrival has drawn significant interest, forcing the hand of organisers to set aside a second performance.
With almost 10 million Instagram followers to her name, Celeste Barber will now deliver her edgy show ‘Backup Dancer’ back-to-back, organisers have confirmed.
Covering sensitive political topics and inappropriate text messaging, the adult-themed show also offers VIP access which provides a meet and greet with the famous comedian, as well as premium seating.
Considered Australia’s ‘Queen of Comedy’, Barber recently completed a sold-tour of the United States and, after her Top End visit, will be head back overseas for a mammoth European tour.
With a second program announcement to be revealed in the coming weeks, event organisers have encouraged potential attendees to exploit the festival’s ‘Grinners Multipack’, which saves festival-goers 15 per cent on full-priced tickets by booking three or more events in a single transaction.
Celeste Barber will perform on March 8, 2025 at 7pm and 9.15pm.
