Queensland Police Service confirmed the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the fatal crash.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed crews responded the crash where they assessed a male patient in a critical condition.
“QAS crews attended a serious motorcycle crash at 3.04pm. One male patient in his 20s was in a critical condition with significant chest injuries,” the spokeswoman said.
The man was later pronounced dead on the scene.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman confirmed two crews also responded to the incident.
“There was a single vehicle incident and the highway was blocked in both directions. Police were involved with a detour,” the spokesman said.
