Gillies Range Road temporarily blocked following car fire near Gadgarra
A major Far North road has been closed to traffic following reports of a car on fire on the Tablelands on Thursday evening.

Traffic has come to a standstill on the Gillies Range Road following reports of a car on fire near Gadgarra.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman confirmed crews were called to reports of a car on fire at 5.12pm.
“We have two Queensland Fire and Rescue crews on scene and firefighters with full breathing apparatus,” the spokeswoman said.
“The was extinguished at 6.02pm.”
According to the Department of Main Roads FNQ, lanes have been blocked in both directions.
Motorists were urged to proceed with caution as delays were expected.
A Queensland Police Services spokesman confirmed crews were on scene to help direct traffic.
No injuries were reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
