A woman has been flown to hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition after a diving accident off the coast of Far North Queensland.

A diving accident near Moore Reef, about 50km east of Cairns, left a woman in a potentially life-threatening condition.
The incident occurred about 12.38pm on Thursday, April 10, prompting a rapid emergency response.
The adult female was initially transported to Cairns Hospital for treatment before being flown to Townsville at 3.27pm for further medical care.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said Townsville Hospital and Health Service was equipped with the necessary facilities for her treatment.
“The patient remains in critical condition,” he said.
On Friday, a spokeswoman for Townsville Hospital and Health Service said the patient was now in a stable condition.
Moore Reef is known as a popular spot for snorkelling and diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
