“There will be a rodeo on the site where the Italian Festival was held.

“It’s a free event highlighting Indonesian culture, fashion, food and music, and will be lifestreamed to an international audience from the Darwin Waterfront.

“It is going to be a very big Dry Season for us.”

Nearby at the Darwin Convention Centre conferences are bringing thousands of visitors to Darwin.

Director of Business Development Sandra Lady said the centre had strong conference numbers.

“Yes, things are strong,” she said.

The Territory economy will have $85 million pumped into it from 52 domestic and five international conferences scheduled across the NT this year.
