Whether it was celebrating birthdays, catching up with friends from afar or just getting to groove to their favourite bands visitors flooded in for the 2025 edition of the NT’s biggest music festival.
BASSINTHEGRASS took over Mindil Beach for its 22nd year and once again was the talk of the town with premier acts bringing music fans in from across the Territory and beyond.
Toby Henderson and Sally Race-Rogers were at their fourth BASSINTHEGRASS and for them it had become a must do event.
“I absolutely love BASS, it has great vibes, great family atmosphere and great gigs that have been showing up here year after year,” Mr Henderson said.
“It’s absolutely awesome and to have this in the Territory for people to come to from all over and just get amongst it, so many people are coming from all over.”
Jasmine Gerry had come up from Victoria to catch up with her best friend Sumara Gugich, with the occasion in a warmer climate giving her the opportunity to wear some lighter colours.
“It’s great hot summer vibes, and being from Victoria it’s a pretty perfect chance to wear pink lace at a festival,” she said.
“I’m so excited, I’m a pretty big fan of the Rions and the Dreggs and having flown up to see my bestie to get to see them too is great.”
Monique Stephens and Tianne Rothwell were another pair of besties getting into the groove of it all at their second BASS outing.
“I’m very excited to be here with my bestie especially,” Ms Stephens said.
“My first time was in 2022 so to see the different layout is great, I love the different set up and I’m happy to be here.”
