A TEENAGE boy has been arrested after allegedly using a fake gun to threaten motorists at Alice Springs.
A NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the 17-year-old allegedly used an imitation firearm to threaten a member of the public in an incident at Railway Terrace and Parsons St on Monday.
Police said they were alerted to reports of an armed man pointing firearm at other motorists from the passenger window of a white hatchback at 3.21pm.
Investigations by members of Strike Force Viper identified the alleged vehicle and its occupants.
A 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with one count each of aggravated assault and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before court at a later date.
