RESIDENTS in Alice Springs are being urged to lock up following a spate of house break-ins.
Southern Watch Commander Darryl Kerr said police responded to multiple unlawful entries in Alice Springs on Sunday.
“There was an unlawful entry in the Braitling area between about 6.15pm and 9.30pm,” he said.
“Entry was gained through the rear door, and they stole three bottles of spirits.
“Also, in the Braitling area, there was another attempted unlawful entry at about 9.30pm.
“The screen of a front window was removed, and three youth were seen leaving that area, but the only description we have at this point is one of them had a ponytail.
“There was also an unlawful entry in the East Side area between about 3.45pm and 4.30pm.
“The offender gained entry by removing a fly screen from a toilet window, and a quantity of cash was stolen.”
