A Red Centre real estate agent has taken out the top spot in the NT’s ranks for the second year in a row.
Alice Springs Realty agent Drew Hendriks was awarded Rate My Agent’s top NT agent – the company itself also took out the title of top agency.
Co-owner Toni Rowan said she was very happy with the recognition.
“There’s 179 participants throughout the Territory that participate in these awards,” she said.
“It’s quite humbling.”
Ms Rowan was also the Territory’s fourth highest rated real estate agent for 2023.
She said communication and a strong social media strategy played key roles in setting Alice Springs Realty apart from its competitors.
“What we do is launch to our socials, which is Instagram and Facebook, and we advertise the property on there,” Ms Rowan said.
Mr Hendriks said 33.4 per cent of the agency’s properties are sold via social media listings.
Mr Hendriks said Alice Springs Realty had had a very strong start to the year.
“There’s a lot of property on the market, but we’re getting a different type of product,” he said.
“It’s a bit different and unique and people are still moving to town.”
Mr Hendriks said in the first eight and a half weeks of 2023, the company had 10 properties settle and another 13 were under contract.
Ms Rowan said business continued to look up despite recent issues in Alice Springs.
“Yes, there are a lot of people leaving town, but there’s people coming in,” she said.
