A woman, 36, has died in a Coconut Grove residence, with a man, 43, arrested in relation

A crime scene has been established at a Darwin residence where a woman was found dead, with a man currently in custody.

Police have established a crime scene at a Coconut Grove house.

Police have arrested a middle-aged man after a woman was found dead in a residence, with the pair believed to have been known to each other.

At 12.30pm on Saturday, police and ambulance crews were called to a residence at Coconut Grove where the 36-year-old woman was found unresponsive.

In a statement, NT Police said the woman was declared dead at the scene.

According to police, a 43-year-old man surrendered himself to the attending officers and

remains in custody.

NT Police have not yet revealed if any charges have or will be laid.

The residence has been declared a crime scene and investigations continue, police say.
