NON-BELIEVERS at the Australian Agricultural Company have tried to explain away a suspicious crop circle in Darwin’s rural area, claiming it’s a “centre pivot irrigation”.
The large parch in the grass in Livingstone – which experts who work at the NT News say looks a lot like the mark a UFO would leave when landing – was of no concern to AACo.
A spokesman said the mark was left behind by the commonly-used irrigation system.

The device is a way to irrigate cops, and allows crops to be watered by sprinklers while the equipment rotates around a pivot point.
However one Humpty Doo man, who asked not to be named, wasn’t buying it.
He sent the crop circle-like image to the NT News to investigate.

“To be honest, an irrigation system? That sounds a lot like something that someone covering up a UFO landing would say,” he said.
“It seems like they’re clearing out Area 51. It’s definitely a cover-up.”
The rural resident stumbled across the concerning image when searching in his local area on Google Maps.
“Just look at the size of it, I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s so unusual,” he said.
“I was totally shocked when I saw it.
“It’s so symmetrical, I don’t know any irrigation devices that are so perfect.”
