Woman who arrived on November 24 repatriation flight tests positive to COVID-19 in Howard Springs

A WOMAN, 30, who arrived on a November 24 overseas repatriation flight to Darwin, has tested positive to COVID-19 in the Howard Springs facility

A 30-YEAR-old woman in quarantine at Howard Springs has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 48 hours.

The woman arrived on the repatriation flight from New Delhi on November 24, 2020 and remains under the care of the AUSMAT team at the Howard Springs.

The woman was travelling alone and returned a positive test on exit screening, which is undertaken in the last 72 hours of quarantine.

She is the fourth person who was on board the November 24 flight from New Delhi to test positive to COVID-19.

The other cases include an 8-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy and a man in his 30s.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on October 23, 2020:

1331 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at Howard Springs

A total of 29 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported

The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 63.

All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
