REGIONAL Victorians will be allowed to enter the Northern Territory without having to undergo mandatory quarantine from today.
There is only one Qantas flight arriving from Melbourne in Darwin today, at 3.40pm.
It comes after the Chief Minister Michael Gunner confirmed last week the NT would still revoke the coronavirus hotspot declaration for all of regional Victoria, except Mitchell Shire and Greater Melbourne, on November 2.

Previous areas of concern such as Greater Geelong, East Gippsland and the Macedon Ranges have now been given the all clear to come to the Territory.
Regional Victoria currently has no active COVID-19 cases after the last two patients in Greater Shepparton recovered from the virus last week.
However, the NT’s peak medical body has raised concerns about Victoria’s plans to allow Melbourne residents to travel into regional Victoria from Sunday.

Australian Medical Association NT branch president Dr Rob Parker said he would prefer if the NT would wait two weeks to open the border to regional Victoria.
