A MEMBER of the Australian Defence Force has been fined for breaching quarantine in Darwin, after recently arriving from overseas.

A 41-YEAR-OLD member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has been fined for breaching quarantine in Darwin on Saturday, after recently arriving from overseas.
NT Police said the man had allegedly left his designated quarantine accommodation during the mandatory 14 day quarantine period.
The man came to police attention due to his aggressive behaviour.
He has since been returned to his quarantine accommodation.

The man was tested when he arrived in Darwin and returned a negative result.
All returning ADF members are required to complete 14 days quarantine in designated accommodation, which have COVID-19 plans in place to prevent contact with the wider community.
The infringement penalties for failing to abide by the Chief Health Officer’s directions are $5,056 for an individual and $25,280 for a business.
