"Hide and seek every time"

Olivia's daughter, Aurora, was happily playing in her cot, so the mum decided to quickly have a bathroom break.

But when she returned, Aurora was not where she had been left.

"I heard banging on the window, so I looked around the curtain, and that's when I found her," Olivia, 20, told Newsweek.

Posting the incident to TikTok, Olivia says, "Crawling baby... hide and seek every time I leave for a second 🤣🤣."

The brief video shows an empty cot, and then a smiling Aurora hiding behind the curtain on her bedroom windowsill.

Olivia later edited the caption to add, "SHE'S FINE and also she was playing in her cot which is why her toys are in there."

The clip, originally intended for Aurora's father, has been viewed over 467,000 times since it was posted on July 4.

"He rolled under the sofa"

While the new mum explains that she moved the crib away from the window after the terrifying experience, reactions from viewers o were divided.

Many warned her of the risks of furniture near windows, but there were also some who related to mistakes made when learning to be a parent.

For example, one shared: "I once walked out the room for two mins. When I walked back in, he was sat on the table part of his highchair backwards with the biggest cheesy grin, the highchair went after that!"

Another admitted, "I remember laying my baby on the floor so I could run off and wee. Come back and lost him. He rolled under the sofa."

But this person scolded, "Great parenting. Buy window locks on Amazon."

And these viewers added, "Does that window open? Bitt of a silly place to put a cot," and "All the comments about the window, I'm more concerned about how full the cot is."

Olivia finally reassured everyone, "That was the first, and last time, she ever did that, which is why I took the video [because] I was in disbelief at where she was."
