Shoppers claim it looks just like other high-end Christmas trees like Balsam Hill - and they're a quarter of the price!

They pride themselves on being 'good, different' but every now and then, ALDI gives customers a good dupe that is just too good to not stop by the middle aisle for.

Now that Halloween is officially over, the German supermarket's Christmas decorations have rolled into store and there's one particular item that has Christmas fans very excited.

Bargain hunters have hit the ALDI Mums Facebook page to share their thoughts on the Winchester Luxury Pre-lit Christmas Tree, which retails at just $149.

That's a bloody steal for a 7-foot Christmas tree these days - especially when the artificial pine branches come with 300 LED lights already attached!

The Christmas range hit Australian ALDI stores on Wednesday November 1st and the general vibe is that it's just as good as other high-end Christmas trees on the market including those on offer at the boujee Balsam Hill.

A shopper hit the ALDI community on Facebook to ask what the verdict was on the pre-lit tree before she went out and nabbed one.

"Does anyone have the inside scoop on the pre-lit Christmas tree and whether it's still the same quality as prior years?" the shopper asked.

And the happy customers came flooding in just like you'd see at any Special Buys sale.

"I think it's $149 and yep the lights are built in. From what people are saying about previous years, they last a far few years too," one person commented.

"I've got it last year and I absolutely love it," another person shared.

And another curious customer wanted to know what it was exactly about the tree that made it so good - bargain price tag aside.

"It's soo fast & easy to put together, is nice & full, comes with lights in the branches, with colour options etc great price & well made. I have their regular 6ft tree, over 15 years old & as good today as when I bought it, comes in 3pcs, branches just fold out, so super fast & easy to put up & looks like a more expensive tree, top quality."

ALDI's pre-list tree is just as fancy as Balsam Hill

Now, while some claim the tree looks similar to some in the Balsam Hill range online, there will be some differences in the quality of the artificial pine branches. So set some realistic expectations here, guys.

When comparing designs, the Berkshire Mountain Fir comes the closest. The 198cm tree retails at $1,199 but is currently on sale at $849. Yes, a big jump from the similar design at ALDI.

So if you're on a budget, want something easy to put up, and avoid all the tangling of Christmas lights each festive season, the ALDI tree is a great option.

According to ALDI Australia shopping expert, Kylie Warnke, those behind the Christmas offering at ALDI are excited to bring an affordable pre-lit tree to people during a time when we're all conscious of our spending.

As well as the Winchester Luxury Pre-lit Christmas Tree, people can also manage to decorate their house without breaking the bank.

You'll find the usual tree decorations and light-up reindeer, there is also an adorable solar tinsel dinosaur for $49.99 that will be sure to get those little dinosaur lovers at home excited.
