Nicole Kidman’s niece Lucia Hawley lands TV role with E!

Lucia Hawley, the 24 year-old niece of Australian movie star Nicole Kidman, has been announced as the new host of a popular TV show.

Nicole Kidman’s niece has just landed a major presenting role after years “working towards” a career in TV journalism.

Lucia Hawley, the daughter of TV presenter Antonia Kidman, was announced as the new face of Live From E!, hosting star-studded red carpets from across the country on the new 7Bravo channel.

But despite her celebrity connections, the 24-year-old states she’s “no nepo-baby”, pointing out she has been “working towards” being a full-time presenter for years.

“I am so lucky to have them both (mum and aunt) as role models — not only are they amazing at their jobs, but they also have a really strong sense of self and are very intellectual as well,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

“Having a mum who had been in the industry, through osmosis you gain that perspective and understanding and I think that’s been one of the biggest things that has helped in preparing me for this role, just having watched her and how she has carried herself through everything.

“This is honestly like a dream come true. I always wanted to present and red carpets are naturally what I gravitate towards, so it came about pretty serendipitously.”

Lucia later shared the news on social media, writing: “Secret is finally out! I’m so excited to announce that I am the local host of @7Bravoau and the new face of Australia’s Live From E! red carpet coverage. Still pinching myself!”

Friends and fans of the up-and-coming TV talent were quick to congratulate Lucia on her new hosting gig.

“SO PROUD OF YOU LUC!!!! You’re going to absolutely thrive,” one wrote.

“Thrilled to bits for you,” another said.

Someone else said: “Fabulous news!! They are lucky to have you.”

Lucia, who previously interviewed celebrities on the red carpet at the ARIAS and the Logies for Channel 9, is also a self-confessed fashion lover, which shows on the up-and-coming star’s social media account.

At the 2022 Logies, Lucia shared several snaps wearing a patent pink sleeveless gown, and even posed for a snap alongside Hamish Blake.

She’s also a fan of the cut-out trend, opting for a white gown recently which featured the racy design.

At the 2018 Arias, the then 19-year-old walked the red carpet alongside her aunt and Keith Urban.

She opted for a black lace dress for the event, posing alongside Keith and Nicole on the red carpet.

Nicole even marked the occasion, by sharing a sweet snap of herself hugging Lucia on Instagram.

“Going to the #ARIAs with my niece, we’re so excited to see Keith hosting!” she captioned the sweet snap.
