Mum's simple Bluey question gets the most wholesome response

The Aussie was left confused after a stranger made a comment about her daughter's choice of clothing.

Since Bluey first began in 2018, it has become beloved by people all over the world. And, it’s not just the children it was originally created for, but viewers of all ages, whether they have kids or not.

However, it seems not everyone thinks this way, with one mum taking to Facebook to ask about a negative interaction with a fellow parent over the weekend.

Surprisingly, it prompted the most wholesome response.

‘My stance on this won’t waver’

This week, one mum posted in the Adult Bluey Fans Facebook group, asking members how old is too old when it comes to Bluey.

“When does your child outgrow Bluey?” the post began.

“While shopping today, a young girl, around 9 or 10 years old, expressed excitement upon seeing Bluey-themed clothing. Her mother questioned her, ‘Aren't you becoming too mature for Bluey?’

“I glanced at the mother as I perused winter attire for my own child and shared that our family also enjoys Bluey, emphasising that Bluey is inclusive of all ages!

“I firmly believe that Bluey is a fantastic program for everyone, and parents should allow their children to determine when they've moved beyond a show or any other interest. It's not just a children's show; it's a parenting show as well, and my stance on this won't waver.”

‘You don’t become too mature FOR Bluey, you become too mature BECAUSE OF Bluey’

The post quickly amassed over 1000 likes, and almost 1000 comments in support of the poster.

Many of them told stories about their own children or others they know, saying they’ll never be too old for the show.

“I teach jr high, and my students will run into a burning building to earn Bluey tattoos and stickers, and they all wear merchandise for it,” one commenter said.

“I wore a Bluey shirt a few weeks ago and they all lost their minds!”

“How very dare she!!?? Don't make your babies grow up too fast,” added another.

“My oldest is in high school and still loves Bluey and says a bunch of kids have Bluey backpacks.”

“You don’t become too mature FOR Bluey, you become too mature BECAUSE OF Bluey,” said a third.

Others shared their own personal adoration of the show.

“71. No kids. Love Bluey! One of these days I will make the Shirt I bought Bluey fabric for!” said one commenter.

“I wear Bluey shirts at 39 years old and I get compliments on them for people in their 20's it's a show for all ages,” added another.
