THE Darwin Laksa Festival will return for another year, with locals encouraged to slurp and sip their way through as many laksas as possible.
Aficionads will be able to vote for their favourite laksa, with the most popular then being crowned as the People’s Choice Laksa.
To find the region’s best laksa, a team of laksa ninjas will be assigned to visit every registered venue to create a shortlist of soups.

The Top 10 highest rated soups will then be judged by a panel on festival day, Sunday November 29, with the winner being crowned the 2020 Golden Bowl winner.
Those looking to head along to the festival day, will have to stump up a cover charge to help with COVID-19 tracking.
Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the cover charge was to help with crowd control.
“But every dollar you pay for the cover charge will come back to you in food, so you can pay $20 to get in, you’ll get $20 worth of food on the other side,” he said.
“So it’s just to help us make sure that we know who’s there and how we control those numbers.”
