A Darwin bloke has done just about the most Territorian thing you’ve ever seen, downing a beer through a dead fish head while camping.

The happy camper who wanted to remain anonymous, and seemingly already a few beers down at Dundee Beach on Saturday night, held half a Spanish mackerel above his head while his friend held it steady.

The beer, a Great Northern Super Crisp, was lodged inside the fishes body, trickling through the flesh and guts before making it’s way out the fish’s mouth and into the drinker’s.

The camper said it was an act of pride, proving to family members he had the greatest iron guts in the family and surprisingly, didn’t vomit at the taste.

“I don’t think it was a dare, my brother in-law tried to do one but couldn’t gut it so I had to prove to him that he’s soft,” he said.

“I didn’t eat all day so it was like having a feed and drink it one hit.”

COMPETITION: WIN a motorhome or caravan, plus other daily prizes up for grabs!

Onlookers didn’t have the same idea however, one yelling “it makes me sick” as the beer dripped through the head of the fish.

While he may have won accolades off the water, it wasn’t as successful on, trying to catch some crabs while his in-laws caught most of weekend’s catch.
