“I was very fortunate to get it because just as I got it up on the rocks the hooks pulled and it bounced back into the water, I had to jump on it and just managed to get the fish.”

Mr Riddick said he noticed the tag before he’d properly caught it.

“It moved pretty quickly, I had to scramble down the rocks and get down real low because I knew the hook would straighten and it did,” he said. “

There were a few yahoos, that’s for sure. I went home and had a few celebratory beers over the weekend.”
