A MOTHER-DAUGHTER duo have taken out the top fashion gongs at the Darwin Cup Carnival Ladies’ Day.
Carolyn Parsell won the millinery competition, while daughter Tiffany Parsell strut into first place in the Ladies’ Day Fashions on the Field in an elegant white ensemble.
Mrs Parsell also came second in Fashions on the Field, followed by Angelina Anictomatis in third.
All three fashionista’s outfits were inspired by the class of Derby Day, which was held in conjunction with Ladies’ Day.
Ms Parsell, a former Cup Carnival ambassador and Darwin Cup Fashions on the Field winner, was thrilled to win and see Territory women get dolled up.
“I’m just super happy to be here and finally to be against mum,” she laughed.
“It’s really nice to see everyone is still enthusiastic for the day.”
Her dress was Mossman, her hairpiece by local milliner Helen Rose and shoes from Bellini.
