A NEW interactive way to track down your favourite food van has been launched.

The City of Darwin has launched an interactive map on their website, showing peckish residents where their food van is located and when they’re open.

“Our website promotes Street Food Vendors at a time they need our support, by capturing them all on one site,” Darwin Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said.

“Users can easily search by location, day of the week and time of the day to find exactly what they are looking for,” Mr Vatkalis said.

“The website provides a great user experience and all Street Food Vendors can be contacted directly through the links provided to their social media or websites.”

It comes after a bumper dry season for the popular Darwin attractions.

Business surged for the vans as gyms closed, forcing people to crowd the Nightcliff Foreshore and East Point, while restaurants and cafes were also closed during lockdowns.
