Barramundi named as Australia’s second most Instagramable cuisine

But barra is quickly shooting up the ranks, listed as number two of Australia’s most Instagramable food.

The JackAndBeyond.com survey found barra was the second most hashtagged dish from a selection of 25 favourite Australian foods, with 172,064 tags.

Snapper Rocks owner David Robinson said barramundi was an iconic fish, making it an attractive menu option for tourists in particular.

“It’s an important part of the industry now, worrying about how it’s presented and you’re definitely thinking about how you present it in terms of photographs,” he said.

Pavlova came in first in the survey.
