Territorians will welcome the New Year with parties, fireworks, and live music

2023 is just around the corner and the Territory has no shortage of NYE festivities to join. Here are this year’s top spots to celebrate the New Year.

Christmas presents have been unwrapped and brightly-decorated trees have been packed up for the year, but the Territory’s festivities are not over.

The New Year is just around the corner - so we’ve rounded up the most anticipated NYE events.

Monsoons’ NYE Party

When: 6pm-6.30am, Saturday, December 31

Where: Monsoons Darwin

Cost: $24-$44

Territorians can welcome the New Year alongside UK DJ duo Stanton Warriors and breakbeat producer Krafty Kuts.

NYE at the Waterfront - cancelled due to weather

When: 5pm-12am, Saturday, December 31

Where: Darwin Waterfront

Cost: Free

Join Birds of Tokyo, Bananas in Pyjamas, DJ Lady Kay, and Territory artists as they bring in the New Year. The night will also have food stalls and two fireworks displays.

Let’s Glow NYE Dinner

When: 5.30-8.30pm, Saturday, December 31

Where: Wharf One Food & Wine

Cost: $70-$95

Book early for a three-course meal at Wharf One with the family to celebrate the last day of 2022.

Studio 54 NYE Party

When: 8pm-12.30am, Saturday, December 31

Where: Wharf One Food & Wine

Cost: $185

Join Wharf One for a 4.5-hour bottomless drinks package to finish off the year.

Fluid NYE

When: 10pm-6am, Saturday, December 31

Where: Throb Nightclub

Cost: $27.46

Catch a number of shows at Throb Nightclub to celebrate the end of one year and the start of another. The performances start at 10.30pm and the main event begins at 11.45pm.

Babylon and The Last Supper’s NYE Party

When: 7pm-2am, Saturday, December 31

Where: 35 Cavenagh St

Cost: $35

Join Babylon and The Last Supper’s Air Raid Arcade lock-in and celebrate the New Year with good food and cool drinks.

Hawaii New Year’s Eve Party

When: 10am-3am, Saturday, December 31

Where: The Precinct

Cost: Free

Dress in your retro best and celebrate the New Year in a hula skirt. Enjoy live music, a DJ, good food and drink and track the evening’s count down clock.
