BROWN’S Mart Theatre’s 2017 season will see new works by award winning NT playwrights and an international collaboration.
Mary Anne Butler will premier her new play, God’s Waiting Room in July and Sandra Thibodeaux will kick off the SHIMMER season of Territory productions with an Australian-Indonesian collaboration The Age of Bones (Jaman Belulang).
Brown’s Mart artistic director Sean Pardy said it was an exciting year ahead for NT artists.
“I’m exciting and really looking forward to watching some new shows and seeing some new faces on the stage,” he said.
The first production of the season, A Doll’s House, opens tonight as part of Brown’s Mart Education Program.
Swagman’s Ghost by Levin Diatschenko and The Daly River Girl by Tessa Rose will be on stage later this year and showcase the diversity of Territory playwrights.
