Abbie Chatfield revealed on social media she tried to patch things up with Australian singer Tones and I, only for her efforts to be rejected.

Abbie Chatfield has revealed her attempt to squash “beef” with Aussie singer Tones and I, only to have her efforts rejected.

In a TikTok video posted Friday night, Chatfield shared the details of the ongoing situation with the singer following a disagreement during the Covid lockdowns.

“My beef with Tones and I is so funny to me,” Chatfield said in the video.

“It’s a thing. Listen I have no personal, negative feelings toward Tones and I.

“I’ve never really had any personal feelings towards Tones and I at all.

“But I did meet her and try to sort it out and when I did that she was not having a bar of me.

“She was not into it.”

The tension dates back to 2021, when Chatfield publicly called out the musician — whose real name is Toni Watson — after she made an “incorrect” claim about suicide rates during lockdown.

Watson had posted a message suggesting that more people had died from suicide than from Covid over the previous two years.

Chatfield responded to the claims in 2021 saying, “It’s just incorrect. The reason we haven’t had as many Covid deaths is because of lockdowns. Disappointing.”

Following the exchange, Watson sent Chatfield a direct message that initially seemed friendly, yet when Chatfield went to read it later, she found it had been unsent.

Tones and I is heading out on a solo tour in 2024.

“I saw her send it and I thought oh I will read it tomorrow then when I went back to read it, she had unsent it.

“So I have no idea what she said.”

About a year later, while Chatfield was on tour with Friday’s Live, she ran into the musician.

“I say hey I know we had some weird interactions or I know I was pretty harsh on you … I’m sorry that I got so heated,” Chatfield recalled.

“She just went … yeah. And didn’t like it.”

“I’m just saying she didn’t want a bar of my reconciliation.
