DARWIN resident and former elite gymnast Sophie Budack has been named a contestant in the Big Brother house, with the Aussie version of the reality show about to hit television screens for the first time in six years.

DARWIN resident and former elite gymnast Sophie Budack has been named a contestant in the Big Brother house, with the Aussie version of the reality show about to hit television screens for the first time in six years.
The 25-year-old is among 20 housemates aged between 19 and 62 vying for $250,000 cash.
Ms Budack said she was looking forward to getting into the purpose-built Manly house.
“I cannot wait for the physical challenges! I feel like they are going to be my thannnnng,” she said.
She saidshe was hoping to bring positive energy to the house.
“I hope to be a beacon of life in the house! I want to stand out as someone who doesn’t take
themselves too seriously and is always up for a giggle,” she said.

Ms Budack is a champion gymnast and was destined to compete in the 2012 Olympics before her dream was crushed by a career-ending back injury just two months out from Games.
Territorians may also recognise her as the 2017 Miss Supercars winner, after which the stunner was whisked around the country to promote the motorsport.
Ms Budack joins other Big Brother contestants, “outback tradie” Mat, “former footy player” Daniel, “80s aerobics icon” Marissa, “go-getter” Angela and “model” Chad.
They will spend 24 hours a day in a the Sydney house where their every move and word will be recorded.
In a shake-up, the contestants will vote each other off, with the public invited to participate in voting of the top three.
The show will air in three weeks’ time on Channel 7.
