A Melbourne tattoo parlour is helping hordes of Taylor Swift fans make their support for the international pop star permanent this weekend.
Popular Fine Line Tattoos in Carlton is hosting a “flash tattoo event” across three days as thousands of Swifties flock to Melbourne for Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour.
The parlour is offering fans a variety of different Taylor themed tatts and one fan has taken to TikTok to share the moment she became a Tay Tay fan for life.
Digital creator Liz, who goes by Lizzie.mouse on social media, attended the event with her two work colleagues and captured queues stretching metres down the footpath of diehard fans waiting to get inked.
“We headed there straight after (our) night shift, so we got in line at about 7:30am,” she said in a Tik Tok video.
From short phrases to heart shaped sunglasses, fans of the musician can select from 22 different designs, all paying homage to a different era of Swift’s music.
The fine line tattoos designed by Melbourne Tattoo artist Cholo Caracciolo, all cost $200 each.
“There was no limit on how many you could get,” Liz said in her video as she shared the tattoo process with her followers.
“Obviously they had Taylor blasting, it would be rude not to.
“But then it was general tattoo stuff, you pick your stencil size, and your position and you can move it around if you choose”.
The influencer’s fellow shift worker had the word “fearless” tattooed on the side of the her rib cage, while a second friend and colleague received a tattoo of a koi fish, a reference to the pop stars third studio album, Speak Now.
Liz also shared footage of her own tattoo, the word “Lover” written in cursive, a tribute to Taylor’s seventh album released in 2019.
“We are all so obsessed with how they turned out,” Liz said.
“Our little swiftie friendship tattoos!”
The event that kicked off on Friday follows Taylor Swift and opening act, Sabrina Carpenter’s Melbourne arrival ahead of the international tour.
The tattoo event ends on Sunday at 5pm.
