A “dystopian” photo from rapper Drake’s Sydney concert last night has made Australia a laughing stock around the world.

A “dystopian” photo from Drake’s Australian show is going viral for all the wrong reasons.

Forget about straight-up entertainment, concertgoers want much more from the visiting star. They want their dog’s vet bill paid, money for an engagement ring and help paying off their mortgage.

A photo posted on X from the Canadian rapper’s Sydney show at Qudos Bank Arena Wednesday night has put our nation to shame, with dozens of signs, lacking even the slightest of pleasantries, asking the star for freebies.

“Them signs in Australia for the Drake concert (face palm emoji),” one user tweeted alongside the photo.

While common for fans to take signs to concerts, they’re traditionally to the tune of “I love you” and “(Insert song title) saved my life.”

Instead of hitting the stage and being met with literary praise, Drake was surrounded by a sea of demands in bold black Texta.

One sign read, “Papi help pay off my mum’s mortgage.” Another, “Help my bf buy me an engagement ring.”

“Pay our dog vet bill,” read a third.

“Need money for my bachelorette party in Ibiza,” one woman wrote.

“Fund Matteo’s first holiday,” they went on.

Another read, “Drizzy help him buy my mum a Birkin [handbag].”

Granted, the God’s Plan singer has form giving out cash to fans at his shows.

In Melbourne last week, Drake gave out $US25,000 to a woman in the crowd, who was holding a sign which read “Adonis for President,” referencing Drake’s seven-year-old son.

“You’re showing a lot of love to my son, so on behalf of me and Adonis, we’re going to give you 25 grand,” he told her from the stage.

And at his show in Sydney, he gave $US30,000 to a woman who wrote on her sign she was 20 weeks pregnant.

“Get your a** out of the pit. Get outta there! Get that baby out of the pit ASAP,” the rapper told her.

“Get her some VIP tickets immediately and like, $30,000.”

While Drake is clearly happy to come to the table, fans online reacted in horror to the photo, questioning whether concertgoers were only attending his shows to “beg for money.”

“Drake aside (literally replace him with any celeb), this is one of the most genuinely dystopian photographs I’ve seen in recent months,” one user wrote.

“Not them acting like it’s a charity event. They were able to afford tickets, they can’t be doing that bad,” one wrote.

“Do they think Drake is Santa?” another said.

“Call me late, but since when did fans bring signs to concerts? Thought they’d be holding their phones if anything,” a third chimed in.

“Imagine going to see Drake and can’t see him cause of signs,” a fourth said.

Drake has another concert in Sydney on Thursday, before heading to Brisbane for three shows from February 24.

He’ll then return to Sydney for one more concert at Qudos Bank Arena on March 7 before flying to New Zealand.
