Taylor Swift’s track listing for her new album has been released

Pop star Taylor Swift has unveiled the tracklist for her upcoming album, with one of the “cheeky” song titles sending fans into a frenzy.

Taylor Swift makes bombshell album announcement

A small detail on Taylor Swift’s new album may reveal a hidden truth about her previous relationship.

The 34-year-old dropped the news about the bombshell release of The Tortured Poet’s Department at the 2024 Grammys on February 4.

The album, dropping on April 19, will include collaborations with popular artists Post Malone and Florence + The Machine, with ‘Posty’ excitedly shared the news on his Instagram account earlier today.

While her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn’s name does not appear on any of the tracks, fans have speculated that several of the songs were inspired by the pair’s break up in 2023 after six years together.

While she released ‘London Boy’ in 2019 during the early days of their romance, fans are guessing that one her upcoming songs ‘So Long, London’ is about the British actor.

One on X, formerly Twitter, wrote “So long London is going to HURT”, as Swifties already begin bracing for the heart-wrenching tunes.

The songs ‘But Daddy I Love Him’, ‘I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)’ and ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ also hint at a devastating breakup.

Fans were also sent into a frenzy online over the new song ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’.

“The smallest man who ever lived LMFAO. Oh it’s over for Joe!” one fan shared.

“You better run for the hills.”

“The smallest man who ever lived? If this is a diss track that’s hilarious” another said.

“I know we’re all thinking the same thing.”

Back in May 2022, when the pair were still together, Alwyn told British GQ he was in a WhatsApp group chat with fellow actors Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott, which was titled ‘The Tortured Man Club’.

Swift earlier told fans onstage of her upcoming album: “I want to say thank you to the fans by … telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. I’m gonna go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you.”

Keeping her promise, the 13-time Grammy winner shared a photo of the album cover – a black-and-white portrait showing her lying in bed.

“All’s fair in love and poetry …” she wrote.

It was completely unexpected news from Swift at this point, after she released her last album Midnights just over a year ago, and has since been embarking on the global Eras Tour, which is set to kick off in Australia in two weeks.

She’s also been busy flying around the US to support her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, as well as completing rerecordings of her previous albums, with 2017’s Reputation due next.

Unsurprisingly, Swift’s name began trending globally on X, as well as the words ‘new album’.

Given her somewhat frenzied fanbase, Swift has made a habit of using big platforms to make exciting career news.

At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, she announced the impending release of Midnights, of which she’s just now scooping up awards for.

It ended up being record-breaking night for Swift, who also won Album of the Year.

She became the only artist in history to have won the prestigious award four times.
