Yesterday, Australian athlete Genevieve LaCaze made headlines for sneaking onto the closing ceremony stage during Kylie’s performance at Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games.

“The opportunity to dance with Kylie Minogue doesn’t come around every lifetime, so I took it,” she told Brisbane radio station B105 while on a bus back to the athletes’ village.

“I could have grabbed the microphone and shown a little bit of vocals but I don’t know how talented I am in that area.”

But footage from the Sydney Paralympics in 2000 has emerged, showing a gatecrasher almost running into the Singing Budgie on stage during a performance of her hit Spinning Around.
