His second published book, The Firebringer is the first in a series of five and combines the modern world with supernatural elements.

Mr Guy said he found the Territory a great place to write, given the tightness of the local community

“I’ve been blessed to make so many personal contacts … with the library through local book clubs,” he said.

“My book’s only in a few places around the rest of the world but in the NT I’ve had overwhelming support from people here all the way to Alice Springs — we’ve got an awesome community in Darwin.”

Mr Guy said the second book was a much smoother process compared to the first and he hopes to bring out two more books next year.

The Firebringer will be launched on Wednesday evening at the Darwin Bookshop
