Kyle Sandilands was left reeling after being told he had lost his NSW drivers licence live on-air.

The KIIS FM star’s manager, Bruno Bouchet, was the one who broke the news to the shock jock while he and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson were casually discussing speeding fines on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Tuesday morning.

After telling Jackie that speeding fines don’t bother him, Kyle was left red-faced when Bruno chimed in to say the 53-year-old recently received a new penalty notice.

“I don’t have enough points! I’m on the razor’s edge!” Kyle admitted, adding that he has “No points” left on his licence.

“Both Kyle and I are. We can’t afford to lose anything!” Jackie added.

When newsreader Brooklyn Ross asked if it meant Kyle had lost his licence, Bruno confirmed he had indeed.

“He finds out live on air that he’s lost his license. But you know what? It’s only the sixth time,” Jackie O laughs, before Kyle corrects her: “The ninth time.”

Jackie was shocked to learn this was the ninth time Kyle had lost his licence.

Despite being handed the penalty notice and the photographic evidence of him speeding inside a Sydney tunnel, Kyle was still in disbelief.

“So, on my speed sign recognition, it said 90km. But on the sign in the tunnel, it said 80km,” he began pleading his case.

“And I remember Chris Minns, the Premier of New South Wales, sitting with me saying, ‘We’re kicking it [the speed limit] up to 90km’. And I thought that some d**khead hasn’t updated the sign.”

When Jackie asked why he didn’t just follow the speed sign, Kyle replied: “I believed the tech in my vehicle and the Premier of New South Wales.”

With his licence gone, the radio host said he’s better off heading to LA because he has a valid US drivers licence.

“Well, it looks like everyone, I’m gonna have to leave the building. I’m going to have to go to Los Angeles,” he said.

Kyle was in the same situation back in 2014 when he lost the last remaining point on his licence after once again speeding.

Speaking on The Kyle & Jackie O Show at the time, he blamed his car for making him break the speed limit.

Again, he had just one point left when he was pulled over for speeding in Sydney’s northern suburbs. But he said his car’s electronic dashboard went dead, leaving him unable to read the speedometer.

“I’m 10 minutes from home, I’ll just follow the rest of the traffic, and drive home and then I got pulled over,” he shared at the time.

“I have lost points for speeding before, but I just feel this is not my fault.”
