TERRITORY footballer Sebastian Guilhaus officially tied the knot on Monday, marrying serial bride Elizabeth Sobinoff – sporting a brand new look – on reality TV series Married At First Sight.
Former Nightcliff and Southern Districts ruckman Guilhaus, 30, was pleasantly surprised with his new bride, who he was a fan of during the last season of the show.
“Halfway through the vows it sunk in that this is Liz from last year and I watched her and I loved her, I thought she was fantastic and I was really attracted to her,” Guilhaus told the cameras.
“Now somehow, I’ve gone from watching this from the outside … and it’s her.”

But it was a baptism of fire for Guilhaus, who was put on the spot by Sobinoff’s mother.
Gillian Sobinoff saw her daughter rejected and cheated on in the last season and was eager to ensure the nightmare honeymoon wouldn’t repeat itself.
“After the last one, you’re getting grilled,” she said.
“You can’t cheat, you can’t lie, you can’t keep your feelings inside, don’t get angry, be sweet … no cheating, that’s a big one.”
The goofy Guilhaus reassured his new in-laws and his wife, sharing a kiss with her after a private chat.
“I’m a loyal man, trust is so important to me, I want to be able to build you up when you’re feeling down and ride with you in a barrel of laughs when you’re feeling great,” he said.

Breaking down his wife’s barriers after her marriage from hell last year might be Guilhaus’s biggest challenge ahead, but if his footballing talent is anything to go by, he’ll go into the relationship full of commitment and do anything he can to get his new team – now a duo -happily over the line.
