THERE’S plenty going on this Territory Day, here’s your guide on where to go to make your firework night a cracker.

Live music and fireworks will light up the night skies across the Territory to recognise the day the NT became self-governed.

DARWIN

Mindil Beach is the place to be on Cracker Night with a full evening of action and entertainment complimented by the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets from 4pm.

Aussie supergroup Australian Rock Collective will lead a concert full of popular acts including Catil Baker, Draftday, DJ Lady Kay, Lena Kellie, Mandy Garling and Pearl.

Darwin-based Kuya James will also take to the stage bringing together the voices of Melanie Munnggurr, Emcille, Saranya and PHLtheBeat in different sets.

The fireworks display will light up the skies from 8.15pm. Free public transport will be available between 4pm and 10pm.

ALICE SPRINGS

For those in Alice Springs make sure you head down to Blatherskite Park with entertainment kicking off at 5.30pm and fireworks popping off at 8pm.

Australia’s hottest party band, Chunky Custard, will lead the charge with their ‘70s and Beyond Show.

They will be joined by Tanzanian rapper, musician and hip-hop artist Katanga Junior for what promises to be a fun night.

The Alice Springs Territory Day event is delivered in partnership with the annual Alice Springs Show.

PALMERSTON

Bring the family down for a fun-filled evening at the home of the Palmerston Raiders, Goodline Park in Bellamack.

Plenty of food and drink will be available while singer and guitarist Jaxon DeSantis will bring the entertainment.

Fireworks will begin at 7.30pm.

KATHRINE

It will all be happing at the Katherine Showgrounds with food, entertainment and music available from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.

DJ Charly T will take the stage while fireworks set to make a bang from 8pm.

TENNANT CREEK

It’s going to be a Territory Day to remember for those heading to the Tennant Creek Basketball Courts on Cracker Night.

Entertainment will be provided by the Desert Eagles, Newboys, Barkly Drifters, MB Reggae and WMC Allstars from 5pm.

Then all eyes will be on the air at 8.30pm as the official firework display kicks off.

NHULUNBUY

Hindle Oval is the place to be for those in the Nhulunbuy with plenty of food and entertainment to go around.

Performances from King Stingray and Harry & the Walkers are sure to draw a crowd from 5pm while fireworks take to the sky from 8.15pm.

OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS

Other community events will be at Alyangula, Berry Springs, Coomalie, Dundee Beach, Galiwin’ku, Jabiru, Kalkarindji Daguragu, Maningrida, Pine Creek, Tiwi Islands, Wagait Beach, Yuendumu and Yulara.
