Darwin, Palmerston and beyond: Where to buy fireworks on Territory Day

The one day a year Territorians can blow stuff up is upon us. Here’s where to buy fireworks for Territory Day.

FOR one day only Territorians are allowed to buy fireworks and light up the sky.

July 1 marks Territory Day, the anniversary of the Northern Territory’s self-governance. In celebration, the public is permitted to set off fireworks.

The public can purchase fireworks from 9am to 9pm on July 1 from licenced retailers.

NT WorkSafe has confirmed retailers will not be permitted to sell fireworks in Wadeye or nearby communities, citing public safety in consultation with police.

Fireworks can then be used from 6pm to 11pm.
