Princess Diana’s brother has slammed Donald Trump, revealing his sister found him “worse than an anal fissure” after the former US president claimed she and the Queen “kissed my a**” in a new book.

“Surprised to hear that Donald Trump is apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to ‘kiss his arse,’” Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, wrote on Twitter.

“The one time she mentioned him to me – when he was using her good name to sell some real estate in New York – she clearly viewed him as worse than an anal fissure.”

Mr Trump had recently boasted ahead of his upcoming book, Letters to Trump, that “I knew them all and every one of them kissed my a**, and now I only have half of them kissing my a**”.

Mr Trump also claimed that he could have “nailed” Princess Diana.

The former US President had made the comments in a 1997 interview, months after the car crash that killed Princess Diana, with US shock jock Howard Stern. The remark was unearthed during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The letter from Princess Diana is included in Mr Trump’s book, along with missives from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and media titan, Oprah Winfrey who wrote to the former US President in 2000.

“Too bad we’re not running for office,” Winfrey wrote, according to Axios. “What a TEAM!”

During a US TV interview with close friend Gayle King during the week, Winfrey explained how she came to write a letter to Mr Trump.

“I think he’d written a book and said that he wanted me to be his running mate ... if he decided to run,” Winfrey said.

“And when I heard that this letter is now going to be a part of a book, I thought, ‘Oh, wasn’t that nice of me to write a note.’ That’s what I thought, because I’m always like, ‘Oh, I should write a note. The person did this, or I should write a note,’” she said. “So I’m really happy that I wrote a note.”

But she said she’s not thinking that she and Mr Trump would be a team.

“I might have thought it back then. I might have thought it 23 years ago,” she said.

“I’m not thinking it today.”

DIANA WOULD BE ‘DISAPPOINTED’ BY HOMELESSNESS

Meanwhile, Prince William says he feels glad his mother opened his eyes to the plight of the homeless when he was younger.

But the 40-year-old heir to the throne said he thought his mother would be “disappointed” that more progress had not been made in tackling the problem.

The Prince of Wales made the comments in a Red Nose Day video appeal where he meets people helped by charities backed by Comic Relief in the UK.

The prince spoke to people at Groundswell, a group for the homeless.

Explaining the root of his interest in the subject, he says: “My mother introduced me to the cause of homelessness from quite a young age.

“I’m really glad she did.

“I think she’d be disappointed we’re still no further on in terms of tackling homelessness and preventing it than when she was interested and involved in it.”

The interview will air in the UK on Friday local time.
