Billy Ray Cyrus’ children fear for star’s life after trainwreck appearance

Cyrus’ son, Trace, shared a heartbreaking public statement revealing he and his sisters, Miley and Noah, fear for their dad’s wellbeing.

Billy Ray Cyrus has sparked concern among his family following his recent erratic behaviour.

Billy Ray was mocked on social media this week after videos of his “trainwreck” performance at Trump’s inauguration bash went viral.

The star could be heard singing out of tune and rambling at the audience during his bizarre set.

There’s been turmoil in the celebrity family for a while, and Cyrus’ son, Trace, has now taken to social media to reveal that he and his sisters, Miley and Noah, are worried that they could lose their father.

“Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you,” the star said.

“The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly, the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like, I barely recognise now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”

Trace went on to share his concern for his father’s health and wellbeing, saying: “You may be upset with me for posting this, but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away.”

He remarked that his sister, Noah, has been left heartbroken because her father “hasn’t been there” for her when she needed him.

“Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life, and you haven’t even been there for her,” continued the musician. “That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me, she still idolises you though.”

“We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy, Dad and everyone is noticing it. Just like I showed up for you at Mamaw’s funeral when you didn’t expect me to, I’m still here right now.”

Trace went on to share that the family are concerned that Billy Ray could end up losing his life if he continues down the same path.

“As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realise this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon,” he added.

Billy Ray has yet to publicly respond to Trace’s statement.

However, responding to critics of his recent performance, he told People: “I wouldn’t have missed the honour of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. That’s called rock and roll!”
