THE voice of Around Palmerston, Wayne Zerbe, has handed over his jacket as President of the Palmerston Regional Business Association after 22 years spruiking all things positive about Top End business.
Recognised for his array of bright coloured jackets and often referred to as the unofficial Mayor of Palmerston, Wayne Zerbe has been a passionate long-term advocate for the Territory’s business community and was instrumental in the early growth and development of the City of Palmerston.
His upbeat Around Palmerston television segments have put a focus on business and their successes
Wayne said that although he is stepping down from the role, he will continue to call the Territory home.

“I will still be around to support the committee and the members, but I turned 70 last year and both my children and grandchildren are based in Canberra, so I’m looking forward to having more flexibility and time to visit my family,” he said.
“I love the Territory and I love Palmerston. Watching it grow has been a wonderful experience.”
