TERRITORY Alliance leader Terry Mills a has launched into a furious on-air radio rant, blasting Attorney-General Natasha Fyles for the ”disgusting lies” Labor have told about him in their election ads.

Speaking on Mix 104.9 today, the Member for Blain let loose during a heated argument with Ms Fyles — who was sitting across from Mr Mills in the radio studio — about some Labor attack ads that claim he was responsible for selling public assets like TIO and the Darwin Port.

“How is it that you can spend money on telling people lies to win a political argument? That’s disgusting!” Mills said.

“They’re saying that Terry Mills sold all these things,” he said.

“What did I sell? Not a single thing! Now you’ve got ads out there telling people, don’t vote for Terry he’ll sell everything. That is wrong!”

“The electoral commission know about this.”

The former CLP chief minister said he served as leader for about six months and was gone by the time those decisions to sell were made.

“I fought to keep TIO when they wanted to sell it,” he said.

“Gerry Wood and I ran a campaign to force the government to keep TIO. I cannot be accused of selling TIO. That is a lie!

“I did not sell the port! In fact I wasn’t supportive of that. Your Chief Minister (Michael Gunner) was on that committee, I had nothing to do with it.”

Ms Fyles chose not to deny Mr Mills’ specific comments, but said: “In August this year Territorians will have a clear choice to make between a government that invests in the community and people with a track record of cutting services and cutting the public assets.”
