Vermelha Station open for expressions of interest

A Territory cattle station that last changed hands in 2016 is on the market again through an expression of interest sale.

Darwin Property Group is selling Vermelha Station, about 485km south of Darwin, on behalf of Vietnamese businessman Pham Nhat Vu’s Vien Pastoral Holding and Agriculture Group.

The 2030sq km station last changed hands eight years ago for a reported $18m.

The property is located to the east of the Stuart Highway only 2km from Larrimah, and consists of a 16,000 head cattle enterprise, made up primarily of brahman cross breeders.

Vermelha Station has 28 paddocks, six steel yards, a 45ha pivot irrigator and 60ha of already cleared land to go with its 3691.9ha agricultural clearing permit.

It has 23 bores including an irrigation bore pumping at 60 litres a second, and an advanced satellite water management system.

Vermelha Station near Larrimah last sold for $18m in 2016 with 10,000 head included in the sale.

Agent Judy Truong said the station had experienced “significant productivity gains” during Vien Pastoral Holdings’ ownership.

“Vermelha Station’s current owner has overseen significant productivity gains during the

group’s tenure,” Ms Truong said. “Under their stewardship, the cattle herd has increased from 10,000 to 16,000 head, underscoring the station’s capacity to support and enhance a livestock

operation.

“The property has been supported by significant water supply upgrades to the 28 paddocks, a satellite monitoring system as well as enhancements to existing infrastructure.

“The sale offers an array of valuable assets and development opportunities, with the perpetual pastoral lease providing long-term security and potential for continued pastoral operations.

“Additionally the station’s 3691.9ha clearing permit presents opportunities for further agricultural development, which makes it an attractive proposition for investors and operators looking to expand or diversify their agricultural portfolio.”

Pham Nhat Vu purchased Vermelha from wealthy businessman and philanthropist Lyn Brazil, who is understood to have acquired the property in 1997.

For details on the sale contact Judy Truong directly at 0412 892 462 or judy@darwinpropertygroup.com.au.

Initial expressions of interest, submitted on a desktop evaluation basis, should be sent

to judy@darwinpropertygroup.com.au by no later than 4pm, Monday September 30. Short-listed parties will then be invited to conduct further due diligence, including site inspections and submit best and to submit best final offers.
