FORMER NT Cattlemen’s Association boss Tracey Hayes has been recognised in Queensland for her work in the beef industry, being named the 2021 Queensland Country Life Beef Achiever.
Ms Hayes, who is a member of the Drought and North Queensland Flood Response and Recovery advisory board, was attending the Beef Week 2021 Industry awards dinner where she was presented with her award by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Ms Hayes was recognised as the driving force behind the monumental Federal Court case that cattle producers took following the 2011 decision to ban live exports to Indonesia.
Graziers and beef industry leaders said her dynamic, unifying and committed work would serve beef producers for years to come.
