After six years, Sprout is returning to its Territory roots

A Territory business has ended a national partnership and is now returning to its roots. Read what’s changed.

A Territory-founded publishing and communications business is ending its partnership with a national brand, and is returning exclusively into NT hands.

Sprout founder Anya Lorimer revealed this week she had resecured 100 per cent of the business after the “amicable” dissolution of her company’s six-year partnership with national creative agency Campaign Edge.

“The restructure is a reaffirmation of Sprout’s commitment to the Territory,” Ms Lorimer said.

“We are busy in our unique space and the Territory is diverse enough without shifting our

footprint too broad. We tried it for five solid years and part on good terms.”

Since it was founded in 2001, Sprout has worked with a number of government and non-government players to develop marketing and communications strategies and providing marketing and communication services.

Well-known for the high-production standards and informative content in its quarterly Territory Q magazine, Sprout also delivers branding, graphic design, strategic engagement plans, social media, websites, event marketing, integrated campaigns, account management, digital content creation and publications.

Ms Lorimer said the company’s clients included PowerWater, TIO, City of Darwin, DCOH, Top End Tourism and the Motor Accident Compensation Commission.

She said Sprout delivers a spread of communications services with specialists including creative designers, writers, photographers, account managers, marketing experts and event organisers.

It develops digital marketing, large-scale installation exhibitions such as Unruly Days at MAGNT, social media for events such as the Barunga festival, research and interpretative signage.

“Sprout delivers branding, graphic design, strategic engagement plans, social media, websites,

event marketing, integrated campaigns, account management, digital content creation and

publications,” Ms Lorimer said. “We’re always looking to play a key role in moving the NT forward.

“We’ve always been committed to helping businesses and industries grow, innovate and stay

top-of-mind in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.”

As well as Territory Q, Sprout also publishes Blak Business, in partnership with the NT Indigenous Business Network.. It is also investigating whether to publish a third magazine aimed at attracting investment into the Territory from Asia.

“We will be showcasing Territory success stories, industry leaders, premium properties, tourism and business opportunities to Timor, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, China and everywhere in between,” she said.

“Through these publications, Sprout ensures that Territory-based businesses, Indigenous

enterprises, major projects and industry sectors have a strong, positive presence in premium

publications that all Territorians can be proud of.”
