That's all from the Trading Day blog for Friday, October 11. The ASX 200 index closed down 0.1 per cent at 8214.5 points after US stocks declined on disappointing inflation and jobless claims data. US PPI data, bank earnings reports and China's press conference on fiscal policy are due over the weekend. Geopolitical uncertainty remains high after Israel's security council met on Iran.

The Aussie dollar is trading around US67.45c.
