Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Wednesday, October 24. The ASX 200 index has kicked off trading day with a 0.3 per cent gain to 8229.6 points, with tech stocks offsetting some of the broader gains. US indexes closed mostly flat.
The Aussie dollar is trading around US66.83c.
