Trump White House fixture Kellyanne Conway has announced she’ll leave her position at the end of August, ahead of November’s presidential election, to focus on her family.
Ms Conway, who serves as Senior Counsellor to President Donald Trump, announced the decision on Twitter, writing in a statement that the “past four years have allowed me blessings beyond compare as a part of history on Election Night 2016”.
“As many convention speakers will demonstrate this week, President Trump’s leadership has had a measurable, positive impact on the peace and prosperity of the nation, and on millions of Americans who feel forgotten no more,” she said.

God Bless You All.
Her husband, George Conway, a fierce Trump critic who has called his presidency “maddening to watch”, also announced he’ll step down from his role at the Lincoln Project, which is working to defeat the President come November.
Trump, in turn, has labelled Mr Conway a “stone cold LOSER & husband from hell”.
Ms Conway said in the statement while she and her husband “disagree about plenty”, “we are united on what matters most: the kids”.
“Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times,” she said.
Ms Conway said the decision to exit the White House, just over two months before the election, was “completely” her choice, once again highlighting her devotion to her “beloved children”, adding there’ll be less “drama, more mama”.
The resignations of both Conways likely has something to do with their 15-year-old daughter Claudia - another vocal Trump critic - announcing plans to emancipate herself from her parents after weeks of bitter, public attacks against them.
The teen has repeatedly criticised her mother for supporting Trump, blaming her role as an adviser for “ruining my life to begin with”.
“I’m officially pushing for emancipation. Buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. Welcome to my life,” Claudia tweeted on Saturday night.
