Crazy new pictures show level of threat posed to inauguration

Incredible images reveal America is not taking any chances as the nation’s capital is plunged into lockdown ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Exhausted National Guard troops sleep in Capitol hallways

The horrifying scale of the threat against America’s beating heart ahead of next week’s inauguration is clear to see.

Overnight, Washington D.C. was plunged even further into a major security lockdown with thousands more National Guard troops deployed and barbed wire fencing put up around key areas.

In a difficult new step, it has been decided that the National Mall will be closed to the general public on Inauguration Day due to security concerns.

There will be no big screens, no toilets, no panels where people stand, and the public will not be able to get down to the mall where traditionally thousands gather to watch the new president being sworn in.

Some 20,000 National Guard troops are expected in the city for Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Downtown Washington has already been fenced off, with concrete barriers blocking avenues, police at street corners, and armed soldiers patrolling Capitol Hill.

Here are some of the craziest pictures from the past couple of days.
