‘Faith restored’: Virgin passenger hails airline

A Virgin Australia passenger has commended the airline after they returned his missing wallet – but what was still left inside had shocked him.

A Virgin Australia passenger was guttered when he lost his wallet during a domestic flight- but what happened next left him shocked.

The man was travelling home from Sydney to Brisbane last Thursday when he lost his wallet while disembarking the plane.

Inside it were all his bank and identification cards inside, as well as $360 in cash.

After struggling to locate it, he made contact with the airline who happened to have it.

In a Facebook post he explained he went back to Brisbane Airport to pick it up and was amazed it had all the contents still inside it.

“Faith in human nature restored again!!” he wrote alongside a photo his wallet and cash.

“All licences, credit cards and cash in tact! From now on I’m happy to pay Virgin Airlines $230 more … I reckon all the staff there are great!”

He also shared a photo of the staffer who handed back his wallet.

Many were quick to agree with the passenger in that there “are good people on the world”>

“Lucky you,” one person wrote.

“Faith restored,” another added.

In a statement provided to Yahoo, Virgin Australia confirmed they were delighted the wallet was reunited with its owner.

“We are always pleased to hear when our guests have a wonderful experience flying with Virgin Australia,” a spokesperson said.
