First pics of woman who snuck on plane revealed
The Russian woman who snuck onto a Delta Airlines flight is seen sporting a pink knit hat and a mask aboard the plane in the first images made public.
The Russian woman who snuck onto a Paris-bound Delta Airlines flight out of New York’s JFK International Airport last week will be flown back to the Big Apple on Wednesday with a French escort — as the first images of the crafty stowaway emerged.
She’s expected to be handcuffed when she touches down.
The woman, identified by sources as 57-year-old Svetlana Dali, allegedly breached several layers of security at the Queens airport on November 26 to get onto a flight bound for Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris — but was nabbed before landing by a flight attendant as she hid in the bathroom.
She is seen sporting a pink knit hat and a mask aboard the plane in the first images made public, which were obtained by ABC-TV Eyewitness News.
Dali has been held by French authorities after arriving in New York without proper documentation.
An attempt to fly her back on Saturday failed when officials said she went off the rails with a disruptive outburst aboard the plane and was kicked off the flight.
A second bid to transport her back to New York also fell apart on Tuesday when the airline refused to let the troublemaking passenger fly, CNN reported.
Dali is now due to get on a Wednesday afternoon flight in Paris — scheduled to land at JFK shortly after 4pm — escorted by two security officials, the outlet said.
Meanwhile, sources said she is expected to be hit with theft of service and other charges for the airport escapades, as several investigations are underway to determine how she dodged security.
“There were multiple failures,” one law enforcement source said. “This was a serious breach of security.”
Authorities said Dali has legal residency in the US but has a Russian passport.
Officials at Delta Airlines did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
